When you drive a Merc Convertible...

For those of you that want to know what its all about, this is:
- Ten percent luck

- Fifteen percent concentrated power of will
- Five percent pleasure
- Fifty percent adrenaline rush
And a hundred percent reason to remember the day!

n Chacha it's not about the salary, It's all about reality and making some noise, Makin sure the clique stays up :P Fuck em !!!

Now that the monsoon is in, lets get a ride, hit the road ASAP and go!!!

Watch this one... ONLY in theaters

If you care whats happenin in America

- Oil prices touched the highest price this week 139 $ a barrel. McKenzie projects by July 4th it should be 150$ a barrel.
- This week, no of people loosing Jobs in the US was the highest in 20 years.
- Hillary Clinton bowed out for Barak Obama who will become the Democratic nominee for the president. If either would have won the presidential race it would be history, because Barak Obama is the 1st African American to do so, and Hillary would have been the f1st woman to become the president
- Big Brown (Thoroughbred stud) lost the 140th Belmont Stakes and lost the chance to win the Triple Crown in 27 years. If he would have won, he would have been worth a billion dollars.
- Google tied up with a Cincinnati based company to venture into Health Care IT.
- Yours truly (that’s me :) ) got a chance to spent time with Natasha beddings, and witnessed her concert with a Jamaican band. Awesome!!! Check her out at http://www.natashabedingfield.com/home.html

American Citizenship

Scene 1:
Praise, applaud, appreciation for the good work we did :) Also, a little expression of grief because I was about to leave and my Visa was expiring

Scene 2:
Sudden, abrupt and unexpected request to stay back and become an American citizen :)
How?
A formal proposal :)
I was actually stumped and dumbfounded :)

Jessica Alba... unplugged !!!

Alba was born in Pomona, California to Catherine (née Jensen) and Mark Alba. Her mother is of Danish and French Canadian descent, and her father is Mexican American (though both his parents were born in California). Alba was raised in an Air Force family, and her father's air force career took the family to Biloxi, Mississippi, and Del Rio, Texas before settling back in California when she was nine years old.

Alba's early life was marked by a multitude of physical maladies; she suffered collapsed lungs twice, had pneumonia 4-5 times a year, a ruptured appendix, and a cyst on her tonsils. This isolated her from other children at school because she was in the hospital so often that no one knew her well enough to befriend her. She has also acknowledged suffering from obsessive-compulsive disorder during childhood.

And now she is simply brilliant..

Watch the movie "Awake" and I can bet a thousand dollars, u just cannot help falling in love with her :)

When I went thru my blog :)

Ye Ye Ye... Here comes the lil tummy :P

Long awaited... I did a hell lot for this... Never knew I was going to get there...

but as it is rightly said, "when you want it the most, there is no easy way out"...it took time and finally I got a glimpse of my childhood dream :)

Yes people thats a tummy/belly :P

Amazed ? dont be :) All my life I have been skinny and was almost sick of it. I wanted to be fat and chubby, sadly it never happened !!! Some times because of hard unproductive work, some times even because of productive work :P

How I got there??? Was easy...

1. Drank protein milk in the morning
2. Ate pizzas at lunch
3. Was on potato chips all the time
4. Made my dinner ONLY in Ghee :P
5. Slept Slept Slept :P
6. Also, due to some bad habbits :P

Will attach a pic, let it get a little bigger :P

Go Reds...

"Take me out to the ball game,
Take me out with the crowd.
Buy me some peanuts and cracker jack,
I don't care if I never get back,
Let me root, root, root for the home team,
If they don't win it's a shame.
For it's one, two, three strikes, you're out,
At the old ball game."

When god bestow's, he gives it all...
Sunday I went out for a party, Monday I enjoyed the Chicken wings at BW3 and Tuesday the baseball game where Cincinnati Reds were playing LA Dodgers. Can you ask for more :)

Plush stadium, awesome crowd, beautiful cheerleaders thumping on the hoo ha song, beer inside the stadium and the Reds were winning. And guess what, inbetween the innings, kiss.com showed up, that is, you have to kiss if you were on camera. Thankfully the cameraman never found us and Janet was saved from the embarassment :P

The only sad part was, my camera wasnt working :(

But we brought home the winners. Ye Ye !!!

  • Weekends are mostly shopping, pubs or out with some one or the other
  • Dads calls have become alarms... reminding me for studies :)

Home... much sought after serenity

Jamshedpur Station @ 2 am: Dad was eagerly waiting for the train to arrive, the very sight of his gave a good feeling... "You will be always cared"...
At home mom was still waiting, and had setup the dinner table with dinner ofcourse...
My dog... I tell u... sumtimes I feel i shuld have bought a she dog too with him :P... he is apt for his name "Romeo" :)

10 days of heavenly home made food and long sleeping hours was sumthing I simply enjoyed.
And for the blast part.... this time a lot of school frenz dropped in.... Adding to the spice there was a marriage of one of our mates we attended....

We secretly hung out on some happening places, which were never ventured during our school days :) and thanks to Chachas goofups, all our secrets were wide in the open infront of his Dad n Mum...

In all... it really was a much sought after serenity

Goa.... Erase and Unwind

As always m awed with the very thought of being in GOA.... A place I love to unwind and let go... So after some difficult planning (setting up dates, holidays and project issues) finally we did board the bus to Goa. The very beginning of the ride was a little bumpy.... My customer called me to attend critical issues the next day. Sadly I found myself in the Goa office instead of a beach... but because of the "Customer first" policy, had to finish up issues by EOD... which I honestly did :)
By evening it was just the beach and us... and then started the party... 2.5 days of freaking masti... "Always high" :P... some complain it was just what we did... but thats ok.... "The world is different that ways" :) Covering South to North of Goa, each day just zoomed by... n every night we found ourselves on the beach talking allowed, scaring off people and swaying on our own rhythm :)

Goa cattered to some of our most basic needs ... and some "non stop discussions", for which the credit goes to just one person "Raj".... Although Udit did manage to pull off sumthings... but by far she was simply amazing.... Mayank 2 had his chance but sadly.... he'll have to practice a little more :P

In the end this is what we looked like... already planning for next visit (Not all of US though :P)

Mama m coming home.. But !!!

Although the excitement of returning home overshadows a lot of things. The mind is flurrying between grief and happiness... But within these mixed reactions... still there are few thing I would miss.

1. Struggling to get up @ 6am in the morning... some times I made it.... sometimes I over slept... Finally Judy extended the helping hand to wake me up :)
2. Snow Walking... that was a new sport I started playing.... the 2 mins walk to the clinic was as good as an exciting sport.
3. Morning morning application going hay where and not working as expected :)
4. Amanda's calls... where she says "Hi this is Amanda from Dr. Bekals office, I called to schedule a colonoscopy" :)
5. Judy and Me fighting our way out to make the application work :)
6. Understanding the medical lingual, often referred by the doctors... That made me half a doctor :)
7. Dr. Mike and Alans giving voice commands as "aaascending colon" instead of "A scending colon" :)... Not our fault.. thts a difference between British and American English
8. The internet switching off at odd hours... :)
9. Sandy's candy offers... stealing Caris dymo label printers :) and the recovery room nurse making the environment all the more lively :)
10. Sheila's soft voice and humble voice... everytime excepted by the computer as a voice command... That always brought confidence..
11. McDonnalds Fries...
12. Long hours spent woth laptop... ending up @ 3am :)
13. Our (Bharats and mine) discussions about improving the application
14. Weekend spent at Downtown, Zoo and shopping malls
15. Dad's almost forgetting my Birthday
16. Warmth shared by all the physicians ... to make me as comfortable as possible

On My Birthday

This is the cake, the nurses made for me :P

That was really nice of them, essentially its a laptop with the project logo on it and yes it has a core 2 duo processor. Following the cake cutting ceremony a birthday song was hummed. This was the 1st time I saw the doctors singing :P

So As my New Year begins ... (its the day I came to this world.. so my new year :P)

Some things m lookin forward to:

1. Cooking... I have just become a fan

2. Driving... Need to manouver on those those sensual curves :P

Dilemma about Kumar & Abhishek

I guess after a considerable amount of time spent on earth, one thing every person is very much sure of is his/her NAME. But guess what, at this point if some one asks me my name .... M CONFUSED.

Well it all started with the damn registrar of my school who put my name in reverse in the certificates. Till 12th I could handle it. Then came college, I dint knew a change of place would cause a change in name. So I came to be known as "Kumar". I took pride in that name !! n almost forgot that "Abhishek" was also attached to it. College was fun, days went by and "Kumar" stabalised. So the first interview I attended, I was asked whether to be called "Kumar" or "Abhishek". In came the prompt reply "Kumar". Interviewer asked "Then what is Abhishek for" ? "Stumped" :) I had never thought of it !!!

Joined a company and there was a welcome change. I came to be known as "Abhishek". Thankfully now I could tell everybody that "Kumar" was the title :) But as always the ghost was right behind. Went for a Visa Interview where my passport said "Kumar" and I contradicted with "Abhishek" !!! Result, Visa on hold :)

After fiddling long with the name, I thought "Abhishek" was one thing to get settled about. Naah !! Guess what, Americans find it a tounge twister :) they prefer "Kumar" :D

And the confusion continues ....

When you are all alone in the US

Although it wasn't as easy as it looks, but it was one "hell of an experience"

So heres some tips when you are all alone in US:
1. Learn Cooking before you come here :)
2. Do not download movies from untrusted sites, so that your laptop is never hit by SPYWARE
3. Although being a stag is a curse in India, being single is a blessing here, so do visit an Irish Pub :)
4. Make sure you have enough of work
5. Find places for sports and other activities
6. And when the going gets tough, DO NOT fight hard. Leave it on time !!
